After the stupidity of its fans away from home, one club have to deliver the toughest fine in the history that was issued from the European football organization.
On the last week of August at the last qualifiers before entering the group stage that were played in the Conference league in one duel between Olimpija and Rijeka things got ugly where interruption was present because of excessive violence. What it looked to be final result of 5:0 and angered of the play from their favourites at the sixtieth minute, the visiting hooligans caused an suspension by doing a number of things: burned the stands, throwed fireworks onto the terrain and also towards the home fans and initiated a fight with the police who came there to calm them down. Many of them were arrested, but the real result came 2 weeks later.
Yesterday the fine got announced and Rijeka for the 'very good' behavior of their spectators have to pay 100,000 euros plus are banned to be present at the next 3 visiting games. Financially speaking, this is the far worst punishment on a club level in the continent. Olimpija had to say goodbye to 84,375 euros as well.
