Cancelled ceremony and introduced a novelty for another

Mostly at the end of every year the six confederations are naming their best players for the current season, but for two in 2021 there are mixed news.
In November the Asian football organization are usually announcing of who will take the awards from the region, but unfortunately it has been called off for second consecutive time. At 2020 the pandemic situation (which was continuously spreading all over the world) has prevented them to organize the annual ceremony in Qatar, and one year later this gala is postponed again for the same reason. Because of rising number of infectees across the continent and for safety of all participants seven days ago it was decided that the Doha 2021 rewards is going to be suspended, thus for the next festivity new month is set: instead on 2022 we will find out which are the best footballers at January 2023 in the same city.
On the other side of the globe, the North, Central America and Caribbean confederation has determined that this festivity will go on by adding a newest reward. From 24 July at both women and men category is installed Player of the year award focusing primarily on individual footballers. Considering that this prize name already exist on the list within the organization, it is going to be a real confusement to differentiate between these two. Nevertheless, the first ever winner, together with the rest, will be known at January 2022.
