Breaking into luxury houses is a serious offence

Three weeks ago four burglars were arrested by the Spanish police, who broke up into 11 luxury houses including the football stars Francisco Roman Alarcon Suarez (widely known as Isco), Carlos Henrique Casimiro (or just Casemiro), Alvaro Morata and Iago Aspas. Out of the four, three are Albanians who officially got accused last Tuesday while the Spanish citizen was released. Watches, clothes, jewelry, electronic devices, vehicles, money and Champions league medals were among the items of stealing.

New league is going to be created

Either next season or the following (2021) a completely new league is going to be formed by three neighboring monarchies. The region where are located Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg is called Benelux, and thus the league will carry the same name. At the Superleague 18 clubs will participate, where 10 teams are going to be from Netherlands plus 8 from Belgium. Country number three which is missing from this project is Luxembourg which from starters its clubs are going to play in the second division.
Last Thursday Bart Verhaeghe, the Club Brugge president, confirmed this news for the French newspaper Le Monde.

Quickest bad thing in one local championship

Exactly seven nights ago Konyaspor and Yeni Malatyaspor played their duel from the Turkish Super Lig. The result from this match is not that important, but one other reason is...which is a real bad one: just 13 seconds after the starting whistle.
Serkan Kirintili sets a record by becoming the fastest player in the country to receive a (direct) red card. After a surprised long ball from the guests, the 34-year-old experienced goalkeeper have caught it outside his box. Realized what he has done, the Konyaspor number one started walking out of the pitch early before Mustafa Ogretmenoglu officially showed him the ousted card.

Leading scorer received an award

In the 2018-19 season Lionel Messi scored 36 goals from 34 league appearances for Barcelona. Therefore last Monday at the Catalan capital the 32-year-old has deservedly won the European 'Golden shoe' award. After 2016-17 and 2017-18 this was the third consecutive trophy for the Argentine or sixth overall, which is a record so far.

Easily accepted proposal gets tougher again

One of the best and famous derby on the European continent had to be played tonight, but due to 'high force' this match was postponed. At 18 October Barcelona and Real Madrid reached an agreement that their duel from the local championship should be delayed, and re-scheduled in two months time with a new date. Big demonstrations across Catalonia was the real reason why this mega-game was called off, thus this Wednesday came the confirmation from the federation: the first El Clasico of 2019-20 season will be on 18 December. However, this contract between the two clubs may be annulled after all.
Couple of days ago, LaLiga has opposed the confirmation from the federation saying that teams (in general) cannot chose a date of playing. The league itself is going to appeal against this decision, so they are having a new plan for the match: 04 December.

Cleared from sexual assault

Nowadays we are hearing almost everywhere in the world how women are sexually harassed by men. Is it a trend or not it is hard to say, but in this trouble was involved Paul Gascoigne as well.
The 52-year-old was accused how he harassed a woman while drunk in the train from York to Newcastle at August last year. Since kissing on the lips now can be called 'harassing', the ex England player did that just to 'boost her confidence' after another male passenger called her fat and ugly. Hearing this explanation, eight days ago the court has cleared him from any wrongdoing.

Emblem revealed for final official club event

This final tournament is going to be played from 11 until 21 December, and is better known as the Club World Cup. Five continental club champions, plus the home national championship winner will be gathered in Qatar, which on Friday has uncovered the emblem for the sixteenth edition.
Colours of the emblem are burgundy, while at the top of the trophy the designers have put a pearl which is also the most visible element. As a decoration, the pearl was inspired by mashrabiya: a traditional architectural and indispensable piece, who is a characteristic appearance throughout residences in the Arab countries.

An apology is far from enough

Probably the worst of the worst masked people have gathered at the beginning of the week on Vasil Levski stadium in Bulgaria, when the national team played against England from the European qualifiers. This duel was interrupted twice due to: monkey and racist chants, Nazi salute, booing of national anthem, verbal abuse from the home spectators towards the guests. Yesterday came the news that 'only' six people (raise from four) were arrested out of the 44.000 seats capacity that this venue has. Immediately after the game the Bulgarian coach has issued an apology to the visiting players, while today the local media have announced that the 53-year-old has resigned although the Bulgarian football union did not confirm anything.

Memorable and historic match

We know that one week ago Islamic Republic of Iran and Cambodia played their duel from the third stage of the joint World Cup 2022 and Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers. The result (of 14:0) was not that important, however something else was. Maybe it gave the home side such strength or secret weapon, who knows, (to achieve this basketball score) that for the first time at the Azadi stadium in Tehran a female presence cheered the national team. It passed exactly 40 years that women in the country could purchased tickets legally to see a men football game. This is only the first step, however some even feared that the ban would immediately be lifted after the game. Nevertheless, the fight to attend and to be segregated from the male public of such major duels will continue in the future as well.
