Ordered to spread an appropriate banner for everyone to see

From 30 September Union Berlin was under surveillance from the European football organization because their spectators were involved in a scandal against the Israeli champions Maccabi Haifa. With anti semitic chants, Nazi salutes and slurs towards the visiting fans and players, the justified punishment came one month later. Yesterday the decision was that one section of their arena where were these so called 'people' (or in short hooligans) have to be closed plus before their next home match (someone) has to spread a "No to racism" banner. And that duel will be against Feyenoord in five nights from now at the same competition (Conference league).

Five as a lucky number

On the night of 28 October was played the final between the two Mexican teams at the North, Central American and Caribbean version of Champions league. It was a tight match where Club America has lost the derby of only one goal to Monterrey who like that won the fifth title of the tournament. Therefore the club from the same city will represent the region on the Club World Cup that is going to be staged in United Arab Emirates early next year. What is more interesting, they are going to appear for the fifth time at the event plus became club number five overall that has entered as competitors.

29 October 2021

Voiced up against an organization

As it stands, the very stubborn and stupid plan that comes and pushes up from the world football organization are just prompting everyone to disobedience. Organizing the World Cup every two years is hardly to accept from various leagues, clubs, spectators or even players, and from now serious boycotts are on the horizon until everything is left as it is.
The Scandinavian sextet of countries (Denmark, Iceland, Faroe islands, Finland, Norway, Sweden) in a joint statement from 16 October is criticizing this idea of having negative effect on the competition itself. Six days later the association of European leagues said that everything above is harmful to national tournaments and footballers, while this Wednesday was announced that all 10 members nations from the South American continent would refuse to participate if the global fiesta is taking place biannually.
Discussions about the ludicrous project is expected to be held on 20 December, and what hurts the most is that everything that is written above is more than correct.
However, earlier the president of the European football organization said that is totally up against the plan ; North, Central America and Caribbean together with Asian and Oceania confederations are up for talks, whilst the only supportive continent is Africa plus four South Asian countries (Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka).

28 October 2021

Introduced a very expensive complex

Although Barcelona have financial difficulties, on 18 October the club has presented the new facilities project under the name 'Espai Barca' (it can be freely translated as 'the space of Barca').
Firstly the modernization of the site was 600 million and had to be finished this year, but now the expenses had risen the whole plan to one billion and a half euros. The increase of the current capacity of Camp nou to 105.000 seats (from 99.354) will still be the largest arena on the European continent, having new offices, retractable roof, hotel near the stadium, new parking lot together with newest hall for other sports and concerts. Just the reconstruction is going to cost around 900 million while the rest would be directed for building a new auditorium of 15.000 seats plus newest stadium for the youth school.

27 October 2021

Defined schedule

Next month two more rounds have to be played for the World Cup qualifying tournament 2022 from the South American continent and those will be the last one that will be staged this year. Phases number 13 and 14 are going to start on the day / night of the 11 with 12 together with 16 November. Just to see which are the final 10 elimination pairs of 2021 plus their kick off times, you have to check the news at the website of the confederation dated from last Friday.

26 October 2021

Transferred club continental tournament

At the end of each year the best club continental champion has to be known, but because of the health circumstances once again it will be decided in the following one. Unfortunately, Japan withdrew its hospitality at September, thus new warm place had to be found.
Five days ago the world football organization has revealed that United Arab Emirates will welcome the (famous) six teams for the fifth time (after 2009, 2010, 2017, 2018). The starting date for the 2021 edition has not yet been revealed, however it might be expected to kick off in February 2022.

25 October 2021

Contra appeal has won certain amount

In one of the places at Milan directors, on the third month of last year Zvonimir Boban was immediately fired because of an interview given at one Italian newspaper (La Gazzetta dello sport). From that point on this began to develop in the way of 'I will sue you - you will sue me back' saga for the (un)justified dismissal. Nineteen months has passed after that incident which finally received an epilogue.
Firstly the club has lost in court and had to deliver 5.375 million euros on his account. Since they (the team) were not satisfied with the original decision, have lodged an appeal, and on 13 October was issued the result. The tribunal has (partly) overturned the settlement into their favour, with the earnings that the ex-president should have had from March 2020 until November 2022 or (speaking with numbers) the collective is now rich for 1.2 million euros.

24 October 2021

Punishments for three member nations

In a space of two days came the news for three associations that were penalized playing various tournaments.
Last week the world football organization issued couple of penalties. Because of homophobic chants against Costa Rica and Mexico from the fans for the World Cup qualifying 2022 competition, on 16 October Panama got sanctioned. Their next home game versus El Salvador have to be staged on empty stadium, and also the association had to deliver 50.000 Swiss francs (46.655 euros) as a financial fine. Out of the same reason their upcoming opponents (El Salvador) were punished as well because their spectators shouted bad words towards United States of America footballers. This time one part of the stadium have to be closed (against Jamaica) plus the association was penalized with 30.000 Swiss francs (27.993 euros).
With hundred thousand euros fine faced the English association from the European football confederation just two days later. A severeness penalty for this is fairly justified after the home hooligans stormed onto the arena at the final of the European championship (that was this summer) without tickets and caused plenty of incidents. England would have to complete two duels on empty stadia, of which one is suspended.

23 October 2021

Everything will finish at six cities

The Asian Cup 2023 elimination duels has reached the final (third) round where the draw for this phase will happen in February 2022. Six groups of four are going to be formed then, however all 24 teams would not play at their homes.
Because the epidemic situation still causes plenty of problems throughout the continent, on 20 October the confederation has announced that once again (like the international club tournaments) all is going to be decided at one place in seven nights. Saying this, travelling among places are reduced to minimum and quarantine measures (that every country has for entering) are avoided therefore the simplest solution was found. For each group one town will be appointed (which are going to be revealed later), while dates for play are 08, 11 and 14 June 2022.
Yesterday the logo of the final competition was discovered which are going to be from 16 June until 16 July 2023.

Real fortune for one player

Pedro Gonzalez Lopez (or just known as Pedri) last Friday extended his contract with Barcelona until 2026. There is nothing unusual about this information, but during those future years, if some club wants to purchase this talented midfielder would have to single out a great amount of sum.
From 400 million now the buying clause for the 18-year-old player is increased to 1 billion euros. Before this, the record holder for the Catalans was 800 million that was hold by Antoine Griezmann. Also Karim Benzema had a same buying clause when the striker signed for Real Madrid in 2017.

Wealthy fund has purchased a club

Ten days ago Newcastle finally has been sold to a foreign Public investment fund. After all pre- agreements, approvals and shaking hands (at the end) one of the largest sovereign funds in the world from Saudi Arabia gave 358.4 million euros to now the former holder Mike Ashley who was their president for 14 years.
And just on 13 October came the news from the Italian media who has reported that the above consortium plans to buy another club, this time from Suning group. It is obvious that the Chinese company are having financial troubles to keep it alive, so they can receive nearly 1 billion euros for Inter, although this information has not yet been confirmed from either sides.

Just one idea is out of the question

The very complexed European championship in 2020 (2021) is over, and its organization do not want to repeat that same stupidity (mistake) again. Lots of travelling for the spectators back and forth within the continent, problems with logistics, tired players have prompted the leading people to think about that idea.
As a result of this, one 'basic rule' have been made when at 12 October the bidding process was opened for the 2028 edition. Because transportation from place to place throughout the whole region is definitely off, the only thing that stands is that nations have to be geographically compatible between each other, if more than two bidders are submitting their proposal, however, if that solution is chosen there will be no guaranteed qualification spot for the future hosts. Requirements are that 10 stadia has to be available, one arena need to have at least 60.000 and two with 50.000 seats. On 05 April 2022 all candidate countries are going to be revealed.
So far five nations have been officially been confirmed: the Balkan quartet (Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece) together with Turkey (as alone interested party). Final decision of this saga is going to be announced in September 2023.
