Called off at last minute

Pyongyang on Tuesday had to organize a joint elimination duel for World Cup 2026 and Asian Cup 2027 competitions between North Korea and Japan, but now we know that that will not happen.

Immediately after the third game this Thursday officials from the visiting team have notified Japan that they are not going to be able to stage the duel on home soil, thus various alternatives were searched. Because in a very short time is impossible to find a neutral arena, three days ago the world football organization has decided to suspend the match who "neither shall be played nor rescheduled" as the calendar is way too booked (for postponements to happen).

The disciplinary committee would now resolve this case that only tells that Japan will be awarded with a 3:0 victory.

The 2023-24 season of the North, Central American and Caribbean version of Nations league is finishing this month, and all trainers have discovered which players will take part in the upcoming duels.

Eight teams that are divided in two different sections will battle in the following six matches for: the losing quarter-finalists or play-in which is going to decide which ones are going to participate at the biggest South American event this summer (Copa America) and finals just to determine the champions for the current season of the mentioned Nations league.
