Unfair distribution of rewarding two champions

At last Friday of this month the European football organization announced that it gave away 1.8 billion euros for its both tournaments in 2017-18 season.
In a not so attractive event (in general), 1.4 billion euros has been divided in the Champions league. Winner of the competition Real Madrid collected 88.6 million euros. On top of that, this team also earned 55.2 million on the achieved results throughout the whole season, plus 33.4 million euros in market share (sponsors and television). Number two team is Roma with 83 million, while Liverpool completes top three receiving 81 million euros. Followers are: Juventus in fourth place which got 80 million, Bayern Munich 70 million euros...When it comes to the market share part, Italian clubs had biggest earnings: Juventus received 48 million euros, whilst Roma were happy with 45 million.
At an always interesting tournament (in general), all 48 Europa league teams received only 428 million euros. Champions Atletico Madrid is discriminated here, taking just 16 million euros, and with this number is in fourth spot. One place higher is Lazio with one million more (17 million euros), Olympique Marseille got 22.9 million, while in position number one with 37.7 million euros is Arsenal. Everton is fifth who earned 14.1 million euros, 13.9 million are for Milan, Atalanta has been rewarded 12.2 million euros...

Horrible tragedy

Last Saturday night five people have died when a helicopter burn into flames shortly after takeoff near the football field. One day later it was confirmed that in it was the Thailand billionaire, businessman and Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. At first, many media gave various information among the other four deaths: his wife, daughter, even the coach of the club Claude Puel, but at the end it is believed (identification of bodies is not over yet) that in this terrible aviation accident were: Nursara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare (staff members), Eric Swaffer and Izabela Roza Lechowicz (pilots).

Cannot play European tournaments due to unclear events

We will not see Rubin Kazan at both European Cups competitions in the next two seasons, even if the club has earned the right to qualify for them. The decision was announced last Thursday when UEFA banned the Russian team from competing because of financial fair play rule. It is known that one club cannot participate if they are spending more than having profits, but here the (mysterious) organization is giving no clear information of why this has happened.

Troubling midfielders

Last week couple of world known footballers found out their punishments (one of them), after both have caused troubles at various parts in Europe.
Arda Turan and Turkish pop singer Berkay Sahin (mostly known as Berkay) were in a quarrel on an incident which happened two weeks ago at one nightclub in Istanbul. The 31-year-old broke the nose of the musician and with weapon threatened him in the hospital. Twelve days ago Turkish prosecution announced that they want 12.5 years jail sentence for the midfielder, who can be also charged for illegal weapon possessing, deliberate causing injury and alleged sexual harassment of wife of the singer. The 36-year-old artist is facing 2 years in prison for insulting the player.
The other is a financial fine for the Vidal family for the case on 16 September 2017 in one local at Octoberfest. Most famous of that family, Arturo Vidal threw vodka bottle towards a guest and cut up his head. Thus, last Thursday the Munich court has decided that the Chilean midfielder have to pay 800.000 euros. His father have to say goodbye to 36.000 euros, while younger brother Sandrino is charged with 18.000 euros, who were also present at the incident.

Returning the favor

As part of CONCACAF - AFC agreement from 2017, in April Ravshan Irmatov from Uzbekistan was the first foreigner to lead an official match at the semi-final of the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions league tournament. Now it is time for a reversible access.
It is about the same competition and round, but playing on another continent. The North, Central America and Caribbean region yesterday have appointed Mark Geiger from United States of America to referee an important duel on Asian soil. On 24 October the 44-year-old will be a main character on the pitch, leading the second leg game between Suwon Bluewings (South Korea) and Kashima Antlers (Japan).

Novelty number two for Asian Cup 2019

Not long ago the Asian football confederation introduced video assistant referee system for the first time at its continental championship which is beginning early next year. Unfortunately, this technology will not be able to be seen in all duels, but nevertheless this news is a step forward to future tournaments.
And seven days ago the region has announced a new rule, but this time it is concerning to the game itself. Starting from game 37 up until 51 (or short: from last 16 and onwards) teams can make a fourth substitution. However, in the previous sentence there is a catch: this rule can be applied only if matches are going into...extra time.
To continue furthermore, this new regulation is also going to be used at the championships in youth categories of 19 and 23 years of age throughout the continent...

Attractive offer is (always) a better choice

After 25 years Arsenal is returning to the old producer of sports equipment. Ten days ago the English club has signed a contract with Adidas worth 340 million euros on five years, and mathematics says that each season they will earn 68 million euros, who will wear from 01 July 2019. This fortune is the second financial deal in the world (on a team level) right after Manchester United. Managers of the German company were smart enough to give a tempting offer: double improved conditions than the sports maker which the team are wearing nowadays - another German giants (and their rivals on and off the factory as well) Puma.

Leading teams learned their location of where to play

Just days before the second (and one match from the first) round of the Nations league began, CONCACAF have announced the cities where seeding teams are going to play next summer in one of the important tournament at the region: the Gold Cup.
Although the above mentioned competition plays a big part for the 2019 edition, this was (maybe) perfect timing to announce the location for those teams who are not participating the Nations league: the big quartet, which are divided in four groups. We all know that the 2019 event actually is not having a single host (because plays are spread throughout the continent), last Tuesday this information is revealed only for towns in United States of America. Majority of matches are going to be played in this country and the team, and title holders, who is in group D are going to have trips in: Saint Paul, Cleveland, Kansas City on 18, 22 and 26 June. One letter higher (group C) Honduras is the seeding nation who will go to Houston, Los Angeles, while its first game is going to be either on Caribbean or Central American country, with duels to be played on 17, 21 and 25 June. Likewise, one Caribbean or Central American nation will have the honor to host group B leaders Costa Rica together with Frisco and Harrison, and dates are 16, 20 and 24 June. On 15, 19 and 23 June in Pasadena, Denver and Charlotte are hospitality cities for group A seeding country Mexico.
Also, are announced the dates and places for quarterfinal (29 in Houston and 30 June at Philadelphia) and semifinal (02 at Glendale and 03 July in Nashville) duels. Now we are awaiting 3 things: mysterious towns in Caribbean and Central America, kick-off times plus 10 qualified teams so that the information and final schedule to be complete.
