Delayed again

The African version of the Total CAF Champions league unfortunately has been postponed for the second time. After September, new schedule was made for October and November, but the announcement from yesterday is telling that the 2019-20 edition got stuck again with couple of games left to be played until the end of the season.
Raja were on schedule to start its second semifinal, second leg on 01 November. However, the team from Casablanca reported 10 healthy players, while all the rest got infected with the virus, thus the match with Zamalek is currently on hold. As this number is not enough to commence any play, no one knows when will be completed. Mentioning it, the last duel can not be played as well which was scheduled on 06 November (where Al-Ahly is the first representative in the final), and who is now postponed on unspecified period of time.

Manipulators were not careful enough so they got caught

Whether we like it or not, corruption is extremely deep rooted into this sport, and the latest case just prove this thesis from eight days ago.
Twenty people were detained on charges that they knew the results upfront from second and third league duels in Czech Republic. Police have conducted raids throughout the whole country, while the football association have only confirmed these reports whose its headquarters were also searched. Likewise among this criminal group there were rumors that the associate of the affiliation (and former referee) Roman Berbr was captured in this scandal, but this was not verified until now.

Quality Asian club football on one place

First was one region, then the second and at the end was revealed the cream of the cake. After West zone from the Asian Champions league, the East also is going to play in Qatar, while last Friday it was just confirmed the inevitable: that the same nation will stage the very last game of the event. As it stands, the West region winner Persepolis is going to play against the counterpart of an unknown victory team from the East side in the big final duel of the season in Al Wakrah on 19 December.

Termination of contract at an very early stage

Only six days have passed when Santos ended the contract with Robson de Souza (more known as Robinho). After much pressure from the spectators and team sponsors, last Friday the Brazilian club forcefully had to terminate the deal with the striker because he is charged on an gang rape of a 22-year-old Albanian woman at a nightclub in Milan (Italy) at 2013. In 2017 the court in Milan sentenced the 36-year-old to nine years in prison who ever since have denied everything. Letting go from his football activities can now be more focused on proving his innocence.

Yearly earnings and expenses

Last Saturday La Gazzetta dello sport released a list of salaries from players and costs of each 20 teams at Italian Serie A. Here will be presented only few of them.

Biggest wage on the Apennine Peninsula has Cristiano Ronaldo who is earning 31 million euros per year. Defender Matthijs de Ligt is second with 8 million, while 7.3 million euros is receiving the striker Paulo Dybala which is in third spot...

As clubs are concerned, the large spender here is Juventus who is giving salaries in total amount of 236 million. Inter is following them with 149 million euros, 112 million goes to Roma, costs in Napoli are 105 million euros, 90 million have Milan...whilst expenses at Spezia are the lowest among all the clubs in the championship who separates 22 million euros on wages.

Overall all earnings in comparison from last year have been dropped by 72 million, and the reason is very obvious why that happened.

Various news from two opposing clubs

Last week couple of fierce rivals, which their derby is the most famous in the world (and where next Saturday will be their first clash of this season), have released different statements: one is concerning the future international club tournament while the other is a news from natural case that began seven months ago.
Past Tuesday the European football association have announced that Real Madrid will not play their group games of the Champions league (which is starting next week) on its well-known stadium. Due to the renovation of Santiago Bernabeu the three home duels are going to be shifted to the reserve (arena) estadio Alfredo di Stefano. No matter of the low capacity of 6.000 seats, at the moment fans cannot attend matched in the competition, so this was the perfect time that the major stadium is redeveloped. In the meantime, if spectators can be allowed to be present. the club said that they will return at the new renewed venue from the knockout stage, but only if the health situation is improved.
And speaking of that health situation, like any other club in the globe, Barcelona too have lost plenty of finances. On 05 October have released a detailed report that from planned 1.058 billion euros the income has ended with 855 million, which is 203 million euros less at the financial 2019-20 year. Including taxes, the team have lost a total amount of enormous 97 million euros. Main cause for this loss lies on the epidemic. For 2020-21 the club is expecting revenues of 791 million, of course if the mentioned thing will disappear forever, so that tourism and slowly returning fans on the stadium can somewhat improve the situation.

Neutral stadium pretends to be home place

Because currently they are playing another kind of stupid game between each other, this Tuesday the European football association announced that Armenia and Azerbaijan will have to be host elsewhere their duels from the Nations league, or far away from its borders. As the war conflict unfortunately deepens between these two, the first country is going to play at 'home' with Georgia in the Polish town Tychy this Sunday.
