This next story will look somehow inappropriate for this sport, but nevertheless it was going to happen anyway someday...and that day already came against Willem II past weekend.
On 16 September the Netherlands football association prohibited, but after much so pressure and critics from the public last Friday has allowed for a sex toy firm to be a sponsor of a club. It was supposed to be a three years deal, however at the end, for one season EasyToys will support Emmen on their jerseys for a reportedly 500.000 euros.
Another Eredivisie team Groningen has a smaller sponsorship with this company, but their logo is on the billboards in their stadium, and not on shirts where according to the association needs permission.
