From next month at the North, Central American and Caribbean region will start the second round of eliminations for the World Cup 2026. Because of this purpose seven days ago the confederations has validated the dates, starting times and stadia for the first 2 play nights, and all of them can be seen on its website.

In it 30 teams are entertaining each other who are divided into six groups of five. Starting the round 2: on 5 days and nights, 30 pairs are written to be staged from 05 until 11 June.

Journey of one region begins next month

It is wide known that the World Cup in 2026 is going to be held at the North, Central America and the Caribbean region. And precisely this confederation, who also would be the fourth, will start its qualifying path for the remaining three direct spots (or more) of the mentioned tournament. The format says that this continent would have three elimination phases, plus those teams who like to torture themselves even more can still qualify through intercontinental play-offs.

At the world football organization on 25 January was conducted the draw for the first 2 rounds, and all that is going to kick-off at the second part of next month. The ending results looks like this:

- Phase one. From here begins the four lowest teams of the region. Everything is going to start on 22 March and finish 4 nights later where 4 sides will try to eliminate themselves over 2 duels, so at the end 2 remains. Because the highest ranking team is facing the lowest counterpart, the mini layout looks like this:

Game 1: Turks and Caicos islands - Anguilla.

Game 2: British Virgins islands - United states Virgin islands.

- Phase two. Dates from this stage are from 05 to 11 June before taking a long rest and resume at 04 until 10 June 2025. Here 28 teams plus 2 from previous stage have been drawn into six groups of five, and thus the little ball names have made the following fate:

Group A: Honduras, Antigua and Barbuda, Cuba, Bermuda, Cayman islands.

Group B: Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Grenada, Bahamas.

Dates of intercontinental plays

In April were familiar when the inter-confederation play-off matches are going to be played this summer for the World Cup competition which is towards the end of the year. From earlier it was known that both of them are going to be staged in Qatar and in 90 minutes only (or more).

The Asian fourth round winner (either United Arab Emirates or Australia) on 07 June would decide the continental representative of whom will meet Peru, the South American team that in the table has finished in fifth place. At the beginning of the month was revealed that these two are going to clash each other at 13 June where the penultimate traveler would appear. In the capital Doha this duel is going to kick-off at night (21.00 local time) so that all participants would not feel the consequences of the heatwave.

Just 24 hours later, and almost certain that will start the same, the Oceania champion is going to meet the team that was fourth in the table of North, Central America and Caribbean octagonal competition. On 20 April the New Zealand football association has announced that its team would play Costa Rica. Whoever wins this duel, it would be the last team that will reach the World Cup 2022 tournament.
