On 02 October Mohun bagan had to travel to Islamic Republic of Iran to play against Tractor from the Asian Champions league 2 event. However, the guests did not show up on the mentioned game because of security reasons.
At the night of 01 October the political situation in the Middle East has worsened when Iran has fired ballistic missiles on Israel. Fearing for their safety, the players from the Indian club reportedly has decided not to travel in the Persian state. This refusal has prompted the confederation to kick them out from the competition, while all games of the club will be annulled.
