Last matches from round four

Second day of the month belongs to the last games from matchday four. Unlike yesterday, tonight we have to expect lots of goals while some pairs are already been determined upfront.

- Borussia Dortmund - Sporting. Borussia Dortmund are struggling at the moment in the championship, but in the Champions league group phase they are playing very well. Lots of draws at home should not concern the Germans, where tonight are playing Sporting. Portuguese club's form is currently questionable at the moment so it should be an 'easy' three points for the hosts.
- FC Copenhagen - Leicester. Danish champions looks very confident at tome and the club should get the second win in the group. On the other hand Leicester proves to be strong side but lately they are off form. That is why Copenhagen have to sweat a little bit more to secure the win. However, the visitors will do everything to hold them back.
- Legia - Real Madrid. If you are an astray and dreadful club, who barely score any goals, and (on top of that) you are playing on an empty stadium against the best in the group and current champion of the competition, that is equal to imminent catastrophe (more or less). Further discussion of who will be victorious in this pair is going to end here. Furthermore, Real Madrid will see this (only) as an light training.
- Monaco - CSKA Moscow. CSKA Moscow may be champions in Russia but in here they are struggling to record the first victory. Unfortunately, that (bad luck) is going to continue even this evening when they take the leaders in the group. Monaco is just inviolable at home and will assure that three points will not leave the stadium.
- Porto - Club Brugge. We can expect (out of nothing) that in this match Porto will score plenty of goals. Club Brugge's away travelings are not very pleasant, so another visiting disaster may happen.
- Sevilla - Dinamo Zagreb. This is an absolutely copy / paste from the previous game. No matter how Sevilla is playing bad, the Europa league winners will always be favorites against a team who never poses a big threat. Dinamo Zagreb did not score a goal so far, so the drought is looking to continue for another 90 plus minutes.

First games from round four

On a completely new month Champions league continue with a new round. Half of the games will conclude tonight and one pair already draw us so much attention.

- Besiktas - Napoli. After the surprise loss at home, now Napoli want to stage a revenge. But it will not be easy knowing that Besiktas has a very strong defence, particularly at home. However, the Turkish champions have difficulty in the group stages so another draw may come up.
- Atletico Madrid - Rostov. One of the predetermined game this evening is this pair. Bottom placed Rostov did not score a win in last three matches, so its an open way for Atletico Madrid to have a solid lead in the table, maintaining the 100 percent record.
- Benfica - Dynamo Kyiv. For the two placed bottom teams this is a crucial match, as whoever wins it gives a chance to continue to the next round. Dynamo Kyiv is in disadvantage from the hosts and without three points tonight Ukrainians will definitely be out of even advancing to that third place (Europa league) spot. On the other hand Portuguese champions Benfica, playing at home and with help of the supporters, can hold on to the victory.
- Borussia Moenchengladbach - Celtic. Mixed results from Borussia Moenchengladbach just shows that this pair can go either way. If the players will not be (too) relaxed, Celtic might easily steal the away victory. However, the importance of the match is for the home side to get new three points and stay on course for the second place in group C. With the Scottish's fight back it should be an interesting game to watch, but the points should remain at home.
- Manchester City - Barcelona. Humiliating defeat from the fierce rival two weeks ago put Manchester City in a difficult position to keep that second place in the group. Knowing that Borussia Moenchengladbach will win 'easily' their opponents, the hosts just have to win tonight's match. However, winning the game will be very very hard given the fact that the opponent is none other than Barcelona. Even if you are 100 percent focused on the game, one mistake can be enough to be a disaster later. There is not much to say about the visitors as it is already known about them, except with the fact that if the Catalans are victorious tonight we will (definitely) see them in the knockout phase next year. In this derby match the hosts will do everything to hold the Blaugrana away to a stalemate, but we cannot see how they will succeed that. With half the power they possess there will be another 'comfortable' win for the Spanish champions.
- PSV Eindhoven - Bayern Munich. This is another match where the winner is known in advance. With mixed results PSV Eindhoven is achieving it should not pose a big threat to their rivals. It is true that the Dutch champions gave Bayern Munich a hard time in the past. However, the Germans nowadays are a much stronger side and have to take this game 'without a sweat'.

World Cup trophy maker has died

The creator of the World cup trophy has died today in his sleep at his home in Milan at 95 years of age.
FIFA desperately wanted to make a new trophy after Brazil became a permanent owner of the Jules Rimet prize in 1970, following their third success in the finals. From 7 different nations and after 53 proposals Silvio Gazzaniga's work was picked up.
He designed other international trophies as well.

Ballon d'Or challenged

At the end of every year it is customary to know the world's best player. As the contract with France football magazine was terminated earlier in the season, it meant that the world football organization has lost its right over the Ballon d'Or prize. But FIFA's panicking was over until today when new award was introduced.
Naming it simply 'The Best' the new prize will debut with 8 categories for 2016: for men and women best player and coach will be selected, Puskas award, fair play award, fan award and FIFPro world 11. Unlike France football where only selected journalists are choosing the winner, FIFA gave the valuable asset to be a part of the award: through online (social media) voting passionate football lovers around the world will play significant role for the winners. The voting process for the first 4 main categories (men and women) will be done throughout November, with the final three names for each will be known 02 December.
Who will take 'The Best' 8 trophies (first) for 2016 we will find out 09 January in Zurich, where even 11 lucky fans will attend the ceremony.
