Fifth champion that will travel to Asia

At a memorable first ever match in a single final of the CONMEBOL region, the Copa Libertadores tournament have a new champion. With practically no real play in the whole match, Flamengo looked like they were going to loose against the defending champions River Plate. An equalizing goal was scored at the eighty-ninth minute, and in stoppage time added another, so that the Brazilian club lifted the trophy for the second time in the competition.
It means that the fresh South American champion is going to debut next month at the Club World Cup in Qatar. The penultimate representative in the event is going to appear for the first time in the semi-final.
