Qualified club forbidden to participate

Despite finishing second at the Turkish Super lig (league) championship for 2019-20 season, Trabzonspor can not play in the Champions league event next year. Six days ago the Sport of arbitration for sport has rejected the appeal of the Black sea club over financial irregularities. At June the European football association banned them for competing in the European club international tournaments for one season due to breach of financial fair-play rule. Thus its place now will belong to the third team Besiktas who is going to start the journey from the second qualifying round at the last week of this month.
