Selected country for conducting tests

Last month the International Football Association Board approved video refereeing in football and last week in London, Italy was chosen to carry out testing on disputable situations. From 2016/17 season Serie A will be an exclusive league in Europe to take the goal-line technology system. The tests, however, will be in two stages. In the preliminary phase it will be closed for public and the official introduction will start from 2017/18 season. The VAR (Video Assistant Referees) system will help referees whether the ball crossed the goal-line, penalty situations and the controversial decision about sending-offs.
