Arrests for match fixing

Police in Wales have detained eleven people for trying to fix a match back in April from age 20 to 48 years old, Welsh FA has said. Its organization also added that 'eight men and three women were arrested on suspicion on conspiracy to defraud, including players, stuff and associates', with no names given in the report. Majority of the imprisoned ones are from Swansea. Later they have all been released on bail.
The controversial match was in the thirtieth round of the Welsh Premier league played on 09 April between Rhyl and Port Talbot. Many bets were placed on Rhyl's favor, as the team won after quite some time - the club was winless 17 games. In the match itself the home side came victorious 5:0.
