Former FIFA president dies

Brazilian former lawyer, athlete, International Olympic Committee member and FIFA boss Joao Havelange has died in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday. The Brazilian resigned from FIFA in 2013 and since then he experienced lots of health problems from bacterial infection to pneumonia. Havelange, who lived 100 years, enlisted Coca-Cola and Adidas as primary sponsors in the world football organization. He was FIFA president for 24 years, from 1974 to 1998.
Brazilian Football Confederation has announced one week mourning in respect of the sporting legend.
