Expanded club event

Seven days ago the North, Central America and Caribbean confederation has decided that the CONCACAF league will outspread for 6 more teams beginning from next season. One club will come from Canadian Premier league championship together with 5 teams joining from Central America. Due to the expansion from 16 to 22 teams, this event now is going to start with a preliminary round in July and also will serve to be a qualifying competition for the main club event of the region: the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions league.
