Because of epidemic issues, People's Republic of China had pulled away on welcoming the Asian Cup for 2023 on its soil. Hence the organizers are in search of a new country who would be honoured to welcome the best 24 teams of the Asian continent. Those member associations who are interested to do so have a deadline period of up until 30 June to submit the needed documents.
As far as today South Korea, Japan, Qatar and United Arab Emirates have expressed their desire to hold the national championship, but first this quartet have to meet certain requirements that were set to host the event for the eighteenth time. Final winner is going to be announced by the confederation at a later date.
