On a global level, this Wednesday a list was released for seven countries that some footballers are not receiving salaries from their clubs. Breaches of contracts were observed in Algeria, the second division of the Greek Super league, Libya, People's Republic of China, Romania, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Players were unable to get their (deserve) payouts due to higher debts of the clubs and mainly the pandemic situation, so many of them are being extinguished.
From this 'lucky' seven it was stated that in the last two years footballers in Greece represents the highest number at this category. In December 2021 the local syndicate has investigated that players did not get more than 25 million euros of unpaid salaries.
