Five days ago the president of the African football confederation, Patrice Motsepe have revealed important information about the following events:
Beginning from August 2023 on this continent will be played a completely new tournament on a club level. Its promotion and a launching period of the Super league would happen exactly one year earlier in Tanzania.
Again the raining season causes problems for the start of the main championship. Originally scheduled to be held from 23 June until 23 July 2023, the African Cup of nations is going to be moved again - this time for January / February 2024. This postponement was done because in the summer time at Ivory coast there are adverse weather conditions, thus the decision to kick-off the tournament six months later was imminent.
So far and in the past three seasons the Champions league final was decided in 90 minutes. Commencing from 2022-23 the last match will return playing at the two-legged format.
