Pairs connected for play-off

We are currently in the middle of the third qualifying phase of the three European international club tournaments, however before the kick off (this Tuesday) the confederation has conducted the draw for the final one. One interesting detail was done during the ceremonies: for the first time two pairs are written twice which are going to be played with each other in two (different) competitions, however the opponents would not and cannot be the same.

Only the winners from the penultimate phase will progress through to the last elimination duels. The current 2021-22 champions from Denmark and Turkiye are the two new participants in the Champions league tournament, and those clubs have formed the only known pair of the play-off stage as well. Schedule for leg one games are 16 and 17 August, while everything will be decided seven nights later.

Qarabag or Ferencvaros - Sheriff or Viktoria.

Bodo/Glimt or Zalgiris - Ludogorets or Dinamo Zagreb (this is the same pair from Europa league, but there the losers from both duels are going to battle each other).

Maccabi Haifa or Apollon (Limassol) - Crvena zvezda or Pyunik.

Kobenhavn - Trabzonspor.

Dynamo Kyiv or Sturm - Benfica or Midtjylland.

Union Saint-Gilloise or Glasgow rangers - Monaco or PSV.

Europa league awaits the losers from the predecessor competition. From the ten upcoming matches: one duel is instantly familiar, whilst the other nine have to wait until its completion. Dates for this event are only two: 18 and 25 August.

Dnipro-1 - AEK (Larnaca) or Partizan.

Gent - Omonia.
Austria Wien - Fenerbahce or Slovacko.
Linfield or Zurich - Hearts.
Maribor or HJK - Silkeborg.
Malmo or Diddeleng - Sivasspor.
Qarabag or Ferencvaros - Samrock Rovers or Skupi.
Maccabi Haifa or Apollon (Limassol) - Olympiacos or Slovan.
Crvena zvezda or Pyunik - Sheriff or Viktoria.
Ludogorets or Dinamo Zagreb - Bodo/Glimt or Zalgiris (this pair is exactly identical from Champions league where the winners of both matches will battle each other, but in reverse order).

First and second leg for the Conference league is exactly the same like the predecessor. Losing teams from there are going to play at this event. As it stands from now, there is not known a single duel upfront, so each club will learn its rival next week.
