Next year even five continental champions are scheduled to be played. One of them is a tournament that in its name have the 2023 number, but because of the weather conditions the Africa Cup of nations was forced to transfer to 2024. And on 08 July this event became only the second one where the official mascot was officially unveiled.
One of the identity of Ivory coast are certainly elephants. Because this sympathetic animal is the source of which this country was named for, the Organizing committee has decided that the tournament will be represented by this iconic creature that simply sends a powerful message to all participants: hospitality, friendship and team spirit. It is named 'Akwaba' which from the local language is translated as 'Welcome'.
