New leg this morning

After the end of March, one of the exciting region from all six (finally) is stepping into action. These long and breathtaking South American qualifiers is going to resume with ten games which will be divided into two legs (days). And already at the start of September the schedule is giving us one potential derby.

- Bolivia - Peru. In order to improve the team, Bolivian coach called plenty of players for these crucial couple of matches. Peru's excellent performance at this summer's Copa America Centenario are definitely encouraging the team to continue with the same pace. But in here things are much different as both teams lie in the danger zone of missing the finals in Russia. Peru who have never scored a goal in away matches since the start of this campaign will be trying to break that 'spell', but their opponent will try to prolong the 'spell' (at least) for one more game and take all three points.
- Colombia - Venezuela. Bottom placed Venezuela desperately need to win this game, as the team have one point from six games. It would be devastating if they suffer another loss, but if the team is repeating games from this summer maybe there will be 'light in the tunnel'. Unfortunately for Venezuela is that their rival likes to be one of the automatic team that will go to the World Cup. With oscillations in the game Colombia looks to be very strong opponent and has to justify being the complete favorites for the match.
- Ecuador - Brazil. This may be called one of the derby of the night. The mighty Brazil did not start this campaign very well but there is still time for improvement. And that 'time' has to start now as the Selecao has a perfect chance to qualify directly. However, this match will be very difficult for them knowing that Ecuador too, wants to make it to Russia, without playing additional matches. Very difficult game for both and by the name of it the visitors have to take it, but Ecuador will make sure that they will stay undefeated.
- Argentina - Uruguay. By just looking at these names, at first, this has to be derby from this seventh leg. But knowing how Uruguay is playing lately, the match should easily go to Argentina. With its new coach it is a real mystery how they will play, but Los Gauchos cannot underestimate Uruguay. There is no doubt that plenty of known football names will be on the pitch. Out of the blue Uruguay can pull a surprise and frankly speaking, this 'unknown' game can (easily) end up in stalemate.
- Paraguay - Chile. These two teams both have a chance to go to the finals, but a winner this morning will have a slight advantage over the other. If the team wants to catch up with the leading pack Paraguay needs to win the match, otherwise, there are always next matches with different situation. Chile is just a point above them at the moment and with a victory here La Roja will be a serious contender for traveling to the finals.
