Only one continental zone is playing tonight

Immediately on the first Monday of September, second 9 pairs from Europe resumes World Cup qualifying process towards Russia. And this evening it will be a special occasion for one Balkan nation as it is playing an official match for the very first time.

- Georgia - Austria. This is the only game from the first time slot. And right at the start this is an open game where everything will be possible. Both teams can win, both teams can draw, both can play boring and both good football in this mystery game. It certainly cannot be an entertaining match as Georgia and Austria are not that good in the sport. On their first ever meeting, this may be decided by one goal difference, but both will play a draw.
- Finland - Kosovo. International friendlies are over so now it is time to get to the real business. The youngest admitted UEFA member officially is playing its games for the first time in their history. And they may look like inexperienced team, but Kosovo cannot be underestimated. However Finland, with a little bit of trouble, will write first three points.
- Croatia - Turkey. Because of punishment, tonight's game will be played on empty stadium and Turkey have to take advantage of the situation. They will see this as opportunity to further penalize Croatia by stealing the away win. In lack of their supporters, home team will fight back (if possible) for draw.
- Israel - Italy. Israel football is on a rise lately and they play tonight against a strong.team. But that strong team suddenly is off form and its a real question if they can win away. Italy does have the knowledge to pull up a victory, but it will be tough than expected.
- Serbia - Republic of Ireland. From the start Serbia is considered favorites for the game, but Ireland are not without a chance to make something out of this. Both teams are aiming for a victory and the hosts are a little bit closer to that.
- Spain - Liechtenstein. Miracles do happen, but (we are afraid) not tonight for Liechtenstein. They only have to have in mind and try to stop (if possible) with how many goals will depart from Spain. Instead of a real game the hosts will have a training session and if players are in a good mood then we will watch a great show.
- Ukraine - Iceland. Ukraine's form is off lately so this will be opportunity to Iceland to make a good start. Either distracted or something else the hosts do not play very good football like earlier. It will be very difficult for Ukraine even to achieve victory knowing that Icelandic football is on the rise specially after this summer's continental championship. Visitors may look like favorites but at the end no one will collect three points.
- Wales - Moldova. Another game that everything is known upfront. Dreadful Moldova simply cannot shine and oppose to mighty (for them) Welsh team. We cannot expect a high score to happen, but nevertheless victory for the home team is inevitable.
