North African country wants hospitality in nine years time

Seven days ago Morocco has officially announced that it wants to be proudly hosts of the World Cup in 2026. After 16 years (South Africa, 2010), this major and most popular sporting event viewed by billions of viewers could return to African soil, but Morocco will nevertheless be the first country to welcome expanded competition of 48 teams. When it comes to backing, CAF will strongly support its member nation to win the rights.
As host/s rotate every 4 years, Europe and Asia are forbidden to bid for this World Cup in nine years time (Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022), which leaves 4 continents would have the rights to welcome the event: Oceania, Africa, North and South America. However, this north African nation will be a big competitor to triple north American candidates of Mexico, United States of America and Canada, who will also make a history: for the first time this tournament will compete in 3 states. Nervousness would be over in 2020 when FIFA will announce the final decision.
