Jail time for former official

Last Thursday an ex-president of the El Salvador football federation was handed fine of 16 months in prison.
Collecting revenues from 2009 until 2015 for himself the greedy Reynaldo Vasquez was involved in racketeering and bribery where in return was awarding marketing and television rights for the national team. Admitting his guilt of corruption, the world football organization removed him from this sport for life in October 2019.
In addition to the jail term, the 66-year-old also have to return 360.000 dollars (374.029 euros) as part of his plea agreement made with the authorities.
