Lisbon party

The team who never recorded a single win in the group stage, but won the European championship receives a heroes welcome in the capital. The fiesta started when Portugal landed in the Lisbon's Portela airport where red and green (Portugal flag colors) water cannons flew over their plane. Then in the city centre some 5.000 crowd greeted the team's first EURO trophy. Portuguese president Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa said that he would honour the European Championship winners with the Order of Merit of Commanders.
