Appointed four hosts for two team future tournaments

Five days ago the Executive committee of the African football confederation at the Egyptian capital Cairo has decided the following concerning their major team championship: Africa Cup of nations.

- Originally Guinea had to welcome the best 24 teams in 2025. But because this West African state was not ready to host the event, Morocco has won the second bidding process defeating Algeria, Zambia and a joint candidacy from Benin and Nigeria who has pulled out before the voting started.
- Two years later, the edition number 36 of this same competition is going to be held in three neighbouring countries who are situated in the East of the continent: Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. For the trio this would be the first time that this significant tournament will be staging to on their soil kicking it off in summer (June - July period).
