Apart from getting millions and millions of wages some 'very smart' players are going one step further: betting on games. From last and this week two Italian greedy footballers who are playing in different clubs, have been accused of violation in this sport.
On 11 October the prosecutor of Torino has confirmed that Nicolo Fagioli is under investigation for online betting. The 22-year-old Juventus midfielder which used illegal platform, is connected to a criminal investigation together with another unidentified suspects. If this story proved to be correct then he will be suspended of at least three years plus paying a fine of 25.000 euros. Italian association have a basic rule that says that betting on football duels among players is strictly forbidden, but are allowed to gamble on other stuff.
Not nine days have passed his compatriot Sandro Tonali has found himself in the same trouble as the Newcastle midfielder was formally placed under investigation from the Italian football association. He will not play for the club until this case is solved.
