Seven days ago three corrupt officials have escaped secure punishment and thus they will not give an answer before the Ethics committee because the statute of limitations got expired. It is concerning buying of the rights to host the 2006 World Cup and with the big help of the epidemic situation Franz Beckenbauer, Horst Rudolf Schmidt (both were on the organizing committee for the mentioned event) together with former German football president and lawyer Theo Zwanziger (where for the same reason) the Swiss court has ended this case in April 2020.
On an investigation of the world football organization found out that in 2002 this smart trio made a payment of 10 million Swiss francs (then 6.9 million euros) to another ex official from Qatar Mohammed bin Hammam. The only thing that remained unclear is why this transaction was made.
