Last Monday it was confirmed that the new owner of Atalanta is Stephen Pagliuca. Together with its debt his investment group gave 500 million euros or was bought 55 percent of shares.
Out of 20 clubs that the Italian top football division (Serie A) has, now 11 of them are competing with domestic money against 9 who are controlled by foreign capital.
