FIFA's expansion

UEFA did it last week by one, but FIFA overcomes them double today. In Mexico City, Mexico the world football governing body admits two new members: Kosovo and Gibraltar. As two hundred tenth member, 141 votes was in favour for Kosovo against 23. While Gibraltar was admitted by 172 against 12 votes to become two hundred eleventh FIFA member.
These two new 'nations' are gaining rights to play European qualifiers for 2018 in Russia which will start in September. As all the groups are already determined last year it is believed that the newcomers will enter those groups of five teams. That is how, Kosovo will play in group I with Finland, Turkey, Ukraine, Iceland and Croatia. And the only left group with five teams is group H where apart from Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Belgium will join them Gibraltar.
