UEFA fines four clubs

The upcoming 2016/17 season is about to start at the end of next month with the first qualifying rounds in Champions and Europa league and UEFA today announced fines for four clubs who violated the financial fair play rule.
Out of the four, Fenerbahce (Turkey) is penalized with the highest amount - 7.5 million euros. Another Turkish club - Trabzonspor, together with FC Astana from Kazakhstan has been ordered to pay 2 million euros. All three clubs are permitted to register 22 players instead of 25 for the mentioned season. Less money into UEFA's cash register will give Dinamo Zagreb - 'only' 200.000 euros. Starting from 12 July, when Croatian champions will enter into the second qualifying round for the Champions league, the club will have permission to register 23 out of regular 25 players. From the last three years Dinamo has done a accumulated minus from transfers of 6.9 million euros.
UEFA is monitoring all European clubs from the last three years and is taking into account that no club exceeds the accumulated minus transfer limit of 5 million euros.
