World Cup ambassadors

2018 World Cup have not even started yet but the host country wants everything to be in order from now. Two years before the most watched competition in the world, organizers from the next World Cup in Russia announced today its representatives for better promoting the host cities across the country. 
Prominent Russian athletes are chosen for this task. From football players, to ice hockey Stanley Cup winner with the help of Olympic champions from various sports. To that list will also join musicians, a famous opera singer, an astronaut, a model, composer and a TV presenter will all have one goal: to bring close to us (supporters) their beautiful host cities. All in all, 19 people accept this responsibility but this number will grow in the future as three Russian cities are short i.e. do not have its ambassador (yet), while those one who were chosen are connected with the regions in some way.

Ekaterinburg:
Oleg Shatov - Russia and Zenit St. Petersburg midfielder
Anton Shipulin - biathlete, Olympic champion
Pavel Datsyuk -  ice hockey player, Stanley Cup winner
Alexander Pantykin - playwriter, composer
Vyacheslav Butusov - singer, ex-soloist
Alexander Popov - swimmer, Olympic champion

Kaliningrad:
Natalia Ischenko - swimmer, Olympic champion

Nizhny Novgorod:
Dmitry Cheryshev - ex-Russia player, assistant coach in Sevilla
Denis Cheryshev - Russia and Valencia player
Vladimir and Sergey Kristovsky - singers, musicians

Rostov-on-Don:
Dmitry Dibrov - TV presenter
Viktoria Lopyreva - model, TV presenter
Varteres Samurgashev - Greco-Roman wrestler, Olympic champion

Saint-Petersburg:
Vasily Gerello - opera singer

Samara:
Sergey Voytenko - bayan-player, international awards winner
Oleg Kononenko - cosmonaut, Hero in Russia
Tagir Haybulaev - judo, Olympic champion

Saransk:
Alexey Nemov - gymnast, Olympic champion

Volgograd:
Yelena Isinbayeva - pole vaulter, Olympic champion
