First female secretary general in FIFA

Under a part of a big reform at FIFA the president Gianni Infantino appoints Fatma Samoura as a first female general secretary in history of the organization. She replaces Jerome Valcke who is suspended from all football activities for 12 years. For the last two decades the 54 year old runs UN programs in Africa and currently she is engaged in humanitarian project in Nigeria. Senegalese Samoura is expected to take her new job at FIFA in a month's time.
