Forbidden entry for Platini

Earlier this month CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) made a controversial decision by reducing Michel Platini's ban from six to four years and it is still unclear whether the disgraced Frenchman can still attend matches at the European championship this summer in his native land. After the hearing at the high sporting court in Lausanne Platini said that he is planning to attend many of the games at EURO in June. But, if he appears in any of the stadiums Platini will be barred from entering. For the UEFA's acting general secretary, Greek official Theodore Theodoridis, Platini 'is still president' of the organization until new 'solution' is found in September. But, as he is formally no longer UEFA president this means that the Frenchman cannot hand the winner trophies for the: Europa and Champions League nor EURO 2016. European football body confirmed today that for all these three official competitions that duty belonged to vice-president Angel Maria Villar whilst new 'righteous man' will be at the post this fall.
