Another Barcelona player in trouble over tax fraud

Adriano Correia is the latest player from the Spanish champions who is accused of tax evasion. The Brazilian is believed to have conceal 646.086 euros from Spanish tax authorities over two years period gained from the use of his image rights. In 2011 the 31 year old defender defrauded the state 189.419,53 euros while in 2012 he hid 456.666,56 euros in an offshore company in Madeira, Portugal. However, it is still unclear whether he will be charged with fraud because on 07 March Adriano paid 650.000 euros ('little' more than he should).
The prosecutors now will have the final word whether they will take action against the Brazilian player or not.
