Another young player from suspected heart attack died on the pitch. In a televised game from tonight's Romanian championship between Dinamo Bucharest and Viitorul, home player Patrick Ekeng collapsed on the pitch in the seventieth minute after being substituted eight minutes earlier. Cameroonian youngster received CPR for 90 minutes before being pronounced dead in the hospital. According to local media there was no specialist equipment in the ambulance vehicle that took Ekeng to hospital.
For national side Ekeng played two times and also was included in the list for 2015 African Cup of Nations but did not took part in the competition. He was 26.
At almost same age, similar death had his compatriot Marc-Vivien Foe after he fell down against Colombia in the 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup.
