Three days break are over and now it is time to get to the final (group) business. From this, group B, we already know one semi finalist, but the other is a real mystery: will it be Fiji or Solomon Islands who will go into the last four (scheduled for next week - 08.06.) of the OFC Nations Cup 2016 / World Cup qualifiers for Russia 2018 - Oceania zone. But its far more complicated than that as one team have to help the other i.e. depends on the other in order to finish the job.
- Fiji - Vanuatu. Complication number 1. At the last day, Fiji is having the most easiest opponent in the group as poor Vanuatu is not liking this climate at all in Papua New Guinea (mini-tournament's host): received six goals already from two games with none given. But if it is and consolation for Vanuatu this is not the worst team in the competition. On the other hand Fiji desperately need to win this game in order to over jump their closest rivals (at least for three hours they will bite their nails) Solomon Islands in the table. To put it mildly, Fiji are in advantage here because with a win they will definitely be second and hoping at the same time that its closest rivals will slip away later on. In its previous matches there are some Vanuatu wins but all of them took Fiji. However this is completely different, as its on neutral ground, and from 08.00 CET Fiji will (have to) attack with all its force for the final prize - last four (and crossing the fingers couple of hours later).
- New Zealand - Solomon Islands. Not so complicated game number 2. Will the New Zealanders do Fiji a favor and beat their closest rivals or they should loose this one? The paper is saying New Zealand is the favorite and yes...they will exit as victorious. On one hand Solomon Islands plays awfully bad football, except the last game with Vanuatu, and adding to their 'misery' on the last day they play an opponent which are favorite to appear even in Russia. So, from 11.00 CET with no full stretch we can expect New Zealand's victory, that can send Fiji into the semi finals only if...
