Two more teams can join semi-finals today

Today there are two games to be played from group A. And on penultimate day on this first group we will find out which two teams will be closer or will be sure to participate in the last four.

- Papua New Guinea - Tahiti. Early in the morning at 08.00 CET the host will take on Tahiti, who with a win will be guaranteed a place into the semi final. With four goals already scored Tahiti with a win into this game they will surely take the second placed team in group B. On the other hand Papua New Guinea desperately need to write three points if they want to keep their dreams alive of progressing through because if they slip up they will be dependent of the other game in the final day. The visitors should take this one easily but we are predicting a draw.
- New Caledonia - Samoa. Samoa has suffered a heavy defeat in the first day which means they have to win this game. Scheduled three hours later at 11.00 CET, or playing a night game - 19.00 LT, New Caledonia can be the second team who will progress to the next stage. In their first ever meeting between these two, also at the OFC Nations Cup (same competition) four years ago, Samoa was humiliated 0:9. We cannot expect the same (or similar) score line here but for sure New Caledonia will write new three points.
