Rule change

Just before the start of the tournament the organizers received a letter concerning a new rule for the Copa America Centenario. If a game goes into additional 30 minutes the teams may apply the new fourth substitution rule. But for that to happen only the final can go into extra time as the knockout stages (quarter and semi finals) after a stalemate automatically goes into penalties.
This was issued in the laws of the game for 2016/17 season issued by the International Football Association Board.
