Chad in trouble

Because of the financial situation Chad withdrew from the remaining 2017 qualifiers. With not take any part from this qualifying campaign all results of Chad are now cancelled and shall not be taking into account. This news means that from the three teams left in group G, only the winner will now qualify for the final tournament in Gabon next year and that the two lucky losers who are second placed teams does not apply to this group. According to CAF regulations, a team who is withdrawing from the tournament is automatically prohibited from the next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers 2019 in Cameroon. Beside the forfeit Chadian FF is also fined 17.900 euros.
