Incidents in Casablanca

Saturday night game at the Moroccan Botola Pro football championship was marked with violence in Casablanca. Two groups of the same team clashed together that end up with tragic consequences. The game between Raja Casablanca - Chabab Rif al Hoceima left 2 people dead and 54 injured after the game. Raja Casablanca supporters clashed against each other after their team won 2:1. Outside of Mohamed V sports complex there were lots of damaged cars, public and private property, so the police had to arrest 10 people before and 31 after the game. 'Two people died on arrival at the hospital, one was injured by a sharp object, while the other showed no apparent signs of violence, and 54 others were wounded and evacuated to Moulay Youssef hospital to receive the necessary care' the police statement said.
