New FIFA partner

Under its new president the agreement was signed between FIFA and Wanda Group. This new partner has become the first Chinese company to sign up with FIFA. The deal grants them to have highest level of sponsorship rights for the next four World Cup competition, up until 2030. Thanks to the partnership, Wanda Group will promote a football development in People's Republic of China and throughout the Asian region. 'We are pleased to welcome the Wanda Group to FIFA. A company that has a long affiliation with football, has been an active supporter of the game. I believe that the relationship with Wanda will support us to continue the on-going development and growth of the game in China and all over the world', said FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
Wanda Group or Dalian Wanda is a Chinese conglomerate and largest commercial property company in various sectors including retail, sport, film, stores and hotels. Last year they bought 20% stake at Atletico Madrid.
However, Chinese companies are not new to FIFA. The worlds largest solar manufacturers, Yingli Solar was their partner for the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.
