The club has said that the transfer cost is 57.1 million euros, Santos has received 'only' 17.1 million, while later the true investigations showed that the Catalans actually paid nearly 83.3 million euros for the striker. The difference of 40 million went to company owned by Neymar Jr's agent. Barcelona says that his parents, Neymar da Silva Santos and Nadine Goncalves da Silva Santos received those 40 million euros. On the other hand, Brazilian investment group DIS, who were entitled of the player's sports rights, received only 6.8 million euros
claims that they deprived of its full share of the transfer. 'Poor' Neymar Jr today was answering questions before the judge for 90 minutes. The outcome from all this is obvious: all four parties were charged with tax evasion and forgery of documents by authorities in Brazil, while the main fraud-man behind this affair fell onto the player's agent, Neymar Sr.
Neymar Jr. and his father are also accused in a separate case of defrauding Spanish tax office of an estimated 13 million euros. The 23 year old striker also has troubles in Brazil as well, where a court has frozen his assets in connection with suspected tax evasion between 2011 and 2013.
