CONMEBOL made pact with the Pope

In order to prevent future corruption in the organization, the latest CONMEBOL president Alejandro Dominguez has made an unusual move with Vatican. The first man of the South American football governing body signed a collaboration agreement in the presence of Pope Francis, who is from Argentina, with his educational foundation 'Scholas'. A statement from CONMEBOL "shares Pope's vision to help educational models that benefit the development of skills and awareness" and "the aim of this joint action is to create social awareness about children in vulnerable situations".
Dominguez decided to connect with this European micro state after the last three CONMEBOL presidents were involved in corruption and bribery scandals.
