DFB demanding money from Beckenbauer

DFB (German FA) is seeking a sum from Franz Beckenbauer of 6.7 million euros in a connection linked to payment of the 2006 World Cup. DFB is believed to have sent official demands to the president of the 2006 German organizing committee Beckenbauer, along with: former vice-president Fedor Radmann, former DFB presidents Theo Zwanziger and Wolfgang Niersbach, and ex-DFB general secretary Horst Schmidt. Radmann, who was an organizing committee vice-president until June 2003, said he had received the demand on 08 January at his home in Switzerland and given 20 days to make the payment, but had lodged an objection.
