Will Everton have new owners?

San Diego's ex-baseball owner John Jay Moores together with his assistant Charles Noell are edging closer to buy Everton for nearly 260 million euros. The deal could be struck withing the next fortnight after months of negotiating. The American duo was first interested for Swansea, but later they decided to purchase the Liverpool based club. Bill Kenwright who bought the club for 'only' 25 million euros is the current owner from 1999. He said that he is ready to give up his chair to people who are willing to make new investments, primarily in the stadium.
