CAF is divided

After yesterday's shock news that Africa would not support their 'own' candidate Tokyo Sexwale, CAF's executive committee has pledged to vote for the Bahrain candidate. But not all African nations are giving support for sheikh Salman for the FIFA presidential race.
Jordanian Prince Ali says the Liberia FA has pledged its vote to him. Ali's campaign published a 3 page letter of endorsement signed by Liberia FA president Musa Bility. In its report the president stated that Ali 'represents real change, while other candidates are not even prepared to criticize the FIFA system'. Bility was himself an applicant, but failed an integrity test judged by FIFA's election monitoring committee. Liberia is the second African nation who will vote for the Prince, after Egypt who has done the same.
On the other hand, Gianni Infantino is a step closer to win the race. South Sudan is giving its vote to the Swiss. 'Any voter has the right to chose whoever they want' said South Sudan FA president Chabur Goc Alei, by adding 'It is not compulsory from CAF telling any member association he has to vote for sheikh Salman'. Alei concluded how 'the proposal of Gianni is the only solution for the future of football in Africa and the whole world'. Infantino's pledge of financial support from FIFA for smaller regional groups to organize youth tournaments was the key for the South Sudan's endorsement.
CAF is believed to be the key region of the FIFA presidential race where 54 African nations have the right to vote out of 209 member states.
