Record setting ban from Valcke

Michel Platini and Sepp Blatter got 8 years ban, but ex-FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke is an absolute leader: he is removed from football for 12 years. On top of that the former French football administrator has to pay 100.000 Swiss francs (nearly 91.000 euros).
During the the investigation the ethics committee said that Valcke is guilty of wide-ranging misconduct, using of private jets for personal use, destroying key evidence and sale of 2018 and 2022 World Cup TV rights. It clearly shows that Valcke acted against FIFA and caused considerable financial damage to the organization. Statement showed that the 55 year old was 'travelling at FIFA's expense purely for sightseeing reasons as repeatedly he was choosing private flights for trips over commercial flights without any business rationale for himself and relatives'. Knowing of his guilt, Valcke deliberately trying to obstruct the ongoing investigation by deleting several files and folders. Furthermore, the Frenchman attempted to sell the next two World Cup TV rights for far below their actual market value to third parties, in this case the Caribbean region, as he encouraged them to struck the deal. Doing that, 'smart' Valcke thought that he would have made some extra profit from this.
This ban comes one month after the Frenchman was fired by FIFA. He had been suspended last September.
